Mobile App Push Notifications are messages sent from the app developer to a user’s device that has the mobile banking app installed. Push notifications can be configured to be displayed in a variety of ways, but typically, they are displayed on the lock screen or as a pop up on top of whatever app the user is using when a push notification is received. Users don’t have to be in the app to receive them!

Both the iOS and Android mobile banking apps now have a new option under Settings called Push Notifications that allows customers to opt in to receive messages directly on their devices.
