Connection Conference 2026
Privacy Policy
Prepared for: Automated Systems, Inc. (ASI)
Effective date: August 31, 2026 | Last updated: August 31, 2026
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how Automated Systems, Inc. ("ASI," "we," "us") handles personal information collected in connection with Connection Conference 2026, held October 13–15, 2026 at Embassy Suites Downtown Lincoln, Lincoln, Nebraska.
It covers both conference registration, which takes place on the ASI website, and the Connection Conference 2026 mobile app.
It does not cover ASI's core banking software products or any separate agreement between ASI and a financial institution client.
2. Information we collect
We collect most conference-related personal information when you provide it during registration. We collect:
- Your name
- Your job title
- Your financial institution or organization
- Your institution's asset size
- Your business email address
- Your business phone number
- Session selections, dietary restrictions, and additional registration preferences
Registration is processed through the ASI website.
We do not collect personal contact information about you from any other source, and we do not purchase or append data from third parties. Institution asset size may be drawn from publicly available regulatory filings.
3. What the mobile app collects: nothing
The Connection Conference 2026 mobile app was built and is operated by ASI. It is unusual among event apps in that it does not collect personal information from you or your device. Specifically:
- There is no account creation and no sign-in
- There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking tools of any kind
- No third-party software development kits collect usage or device data
- The app does not ask for your location, contacts, camera, photos, or microphone
- We cannot tell who has installed the app, who has opened it, or what anyone views inside it
The app retrieves conference content, including the attendee directory, from a file hosted by ASI and displays it. Information flows to your device. The app does not send personal information back to ASI, although our servers may log standard technical data such as IP addresses when the app requests content.
4. The attendee directory
What it shows. The app includes an attendee directory listing each registered attendee's name, job title, financial institution, and institution asset size. Attendees have told us that peer identification by institution size is one of the most useful things the directory does, which is why asset size is included. Institution asset size is publicly reported information available through regulatory call reports.
What it does not show. Email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses, and any other contact information are never included in the directory and are never accessible through the app.
Who can see it. The app is available as a free public download from the Apple App Store and Google Play. The directory is not restricted to registered attendees. Anyone who downloads the app can view it. We considered placing the directory behind an access code and chose an open directory to keep the app as easy as possible for attendees to use, given that the information shown is limited to business identity information of the kind commonly published on professional networking sites and in regulatory filings.
If you would prefer not to appear in the directory, see Section 7.
5. How we use information
We use registration information to:
- Register you and confirm your attendance
- Populate the conference agenda, materials, and attendee directory
- Send you conference logistics communications before, during, and after the event
- Plan session capacity, meals, seating, and materials
- Understand overall attendance and improve future ASI conferences
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent, trade, or disclose personal information for anyone else's marketing purposes.
6. When information is shared
Publicly, through the app. Your name, title, institution, and institution asset size appear in the attendee directory, which is publicly viewable as described in Section 4.
With event service providers. We share limited information with vendors supporting the event, and only what each one needs. The venue may receive a rooming or headcount list; catering may receive dietary restriction totals. These providers are not permitted to use the information for their own purposes.
With sponsors. We do not provide attendee lists to sponsors, and there is no badge scanning at Connection Conference 2026. Sponsors see the same publicly available attendee directory that everyone else does. If you give your contact information directly to a sponsor at their booth, that exchange is between you and the sponsor and is governed by their privacy practices, not ours.
When required by law. We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of ASI, attendees, or others.
7. Your choices
Removing yourself from the directory. You may ask to be removed from the attendee directory at any time, before or during the conference, by emailing events@asiweb.com. Because the app retrieves the directory from a file we host rather than storing it inside the app itself, removal takes effect the next time each user's app refreshes its content, typically the next time it is opened. No app update is required.
Correcting your information. Email events@asiweb.com to correct your name, title, institution, or asset size.
Access and deletion. You may request a copy of the conference information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing events@asiweb.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, typically no more than 30 days, and may need to verify your identity first. We may retain limited records where we have a legal, tax, or accounting obligation to do so.
Email. Conference logistics emails are part of providing the event to registered attendees. Any marketing email from ASI includes an unsubscribe link.
8. Consent at registration
When you register, you are shown and agree to the following:
"Your name, title, financial institution, and institution asset size will be included in the attendee directory within the conference mobile app, which is available as a public download. Personal contact information, including email addresses and phone numbers, will not be shared. ASI may photograph and record the conference, and images or footage may be used in ASI marketing and promotional materials. See the conference privacy policy for details."
9. How long we keep information
The attendee directory file is taken offline on October 20, 2026, after which the directory no longer appears in the app. The app itself is removed from the app stores at the same time. Copies already installed on a device may retain the last content they downloaded until the user deletes the app. Registration records are retained for 48 months following the conclusion of the conference, after which they are deleted unless a longer retention period is required by law, tax, or accounting obligations.
10. Security
Registration information is held in ASI systems under access controls limiting it to ASI staff who need it for conference operations. Data is encrypted in transit. The attendee directory file is served over HTTPS (secure encrypted web protocol). No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Photography and recording
ASI photographs and records Connection Conference 2026. Images and footage may include attendees and may be used in ASI marketing materials, on the ASI website and conference website, in social media, and in materials promoting future conferences. By registering, you consent to ASI's capture and use of your image and likeness as described in this section, as part of the conference registration terms. ASI is not responsible for photographs or recordings made by other attendees or third parties at the event.
If you would prefer not to be photographed, tell a member of ASI staff at the registration desk. If you find yourself in a published photo and would like it removed, email events@asiweb.com and we will remove it from materials we control.
12. Children
Connection Conference 2026 is a professional event for the banking industry. The conference and app are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
13. Attendees outside the United States
ASI is located in Lincoln, Nebraska, and information is processed and stored in the United States. If you register from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. By registering for the conference, you consent to such transfer and processing.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make a material change, we will post the updated version on the conference website and in the app and revise the "Last updated" date above.
