Wyse Winterm Windows Terminals

Winterm 8360 SE Wyse Winterm

The most powerful Wyse terminal adds local application execution, multimedia, and local browsing to the Windows-based terminal and delivers the flexibility of a PC with the reliability and simplicity of a thin client.

Wyse® WintermTM Windows® Custom-Application Terminals deliver the best of PCs and Windows-based terminals in a desktop device with the simplicity and durability of a telephone. They combine rapid, easy access to centralized server-based or local 32-bit Windows-based applications to enable rapid application deployment while improving manageability and reliability, and lowering the total cost of ownership.

The Winterm 8360SE, based on the Microsoft® Windows NT® 4.0 Embedded operating system1, is the first Wyse terminal to allow the embedding of local 32-bit Windows applications.2 Vital Windows applications which cannot be server-based can be embedded on the model 8360SE, multimedia applications can be accessed locally, and with Internet Explorer 5.0, there is full local Internet and intranet access with plug-in support. Adding peripherals is easy thanks to Windows NT driver support.

Powered by Microsoft CE The Winterm 8360SE utilizes the Windows NT desktop interface, and has an unmatched array of connectivity and communications features and legacy system emulations. Its slim, modular design allows for use with most existing monitors.

With the Winterm 8360SE, administrators have the freedom to choose either the Microsoft RDP 5 or Citrix® ICA® 3 protocol; to deploy the latest ICA technology, such as local Program Neighborhood.

Using the Winterm 8360SE is the best way for organizations that need a thinner approach to desktop and IT management, while allowing increased flexibility, productivity, security, and longevity.
