Summary:

Provide support to a variety of systems and networks directly involved in the day to day operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze operating systems
  • Troubleshoot multiple systems across networks
  • Implement resolutions to system anomalies
  • Collect system status information and create daily status reports
  • Examine metrics to ensure all system performance requirements meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Log all significant system events
  • Prepare trouble tickets for significant system issues
  • Assist in data capture to facilitate problem resolution
  • Functions as a primary resource to the network support team for system needs
  • Work with network technicians, integrators and third party providers in reporting problems
  • Utilize good judgment within company policies and procedures to complete established goals and maintain flexibility to allow changes
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Skills:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience required
  • 0 – 3 years’ networking skills experience
  • Ability to work independently and communicate within a team environment
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform basic troubleshooting techniques
  • Basic understanding of network terms and concepts a plus
  • Demonstrated technical writing ability with good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Windows Server 2003-2012, Exchange Server, SQL Server, and Desktop Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge in the areas of routing, switching, VPN and VLAN’s
  • Ideal candidate will have Microsoft Networking skills
