Summary:

Bank Service Specialist completes back-office operations processing and provides operational support for bank clients of Automated Systems Inc. and Insite Data Services that use the Insite banking system.

Essential Duties:

  • Processing of incoming bank files for the purpose of posting transactions to bank customer accounts:  ACH, Cash Letter, and ATM/EFT
  • Processing of internal files for the purpose of posting, returning, or charging back transactions per bank request
  • Processing of outgoing bank files for the purpose of submitting transaction or balance information to other third party providers on behalf of the bank
  • Receiving support requests from banks and provide appropriate support
  • Report and/or resolve problems as they are received or identified either from banks or from file processing
  • Partner with appropriate resources within the company for research and problem resolution purposes

Ongoing Responsibilities:

  • Establish effective working relationships to ensure issues are resolved with appropriate urgency
  • Analyze customer issues to develop a tactically sound response that will resolve the issue
  • Maintain proactive communication with banks regarding pending-status outstanding issues
  • Complete documentation of all communication and research using system tools
  • Work on various special projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in related filed preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 1 – 3 years banking experience or otherwise familiarity with ACH, cash letter, and ATM/EFT file processing strongly preferred
  • High level of attention to detail, problem solving skills and a level of urgency to complete tasks required
  • Strong computer skills, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office products
  • Must be a team player, self-starter/independent worker and have strong organizational skills
  • Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a close team environment

 

Travel:  Travel not anticipated, but may be required upon request

Hours: 8-hour shift coverage between 7:00AM and 7:00PM (7am-4pm, 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm, or 10am-7pm)

Salary:  Depending on Experience and Education

Status:  Non Exempt
