Senior .NET Application Developer

Job Description
As a department, our emphasis is on designing and developing software that meets the needs and expectations of our customers. As a small but growing company, client satisfaction is extremely important. As a result, we depend on our developers to create applications that engender loyal and enthusiastic users.

In addition, our developers are counted on to participate in project teams that design and develop both new and existing applications. Because of our team-oriented environment, potential candidates must possess strong communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide variety of team members across multiple departments. As a small development department within an entrepreneurial company, developers are expected to contribute solutions to issues and problems in all product areas. Positions are neither fixed nor narrowly-defined, but are fluid and often overlap into a number of key areas throughout our product lines.

The person hired for this position will create a variety of software types using object oriented programming with a test-first design approach resulting in a complete suite of unit tests for each application. The ideal candidate will possess both experience and advanced skills in this approach, and will also have the ability to continue learning new skills and techniques.

  • Working with a variety of business applications and technologies.
  • Developing, testing, and documenting complex web and Windows applications.
  • Updating existing programs to support enhanced capabilities or maintain the functional operation of a production system.
  • Providing regular status updates to ensure meeting deadlines and specification requirements.
  • Providing support to the QA staff and users through problem resolution and bug fixes from requirements.
  • C# and/or VB.NET
  • ASP.NET
  • SQL Server
  • nUnit (or other unit testing framework)
  • Database Design
  • Version Control

In addition, a Senior Developer would be expected to lead a team of developers, including mentoring other developers on the team.

Salary range is dependent on education, certifications and experience.
